Earthman Doublewood
About Gered a.k.a. Earthman Doublewood
Following the northern bird for five years as a backpacker and playing in bands such as The Zonked Riders, Gorilla Theater and FUBAR, Gered Stowe made his way across the land. After some years the music distilled down to a solo folk venture performed under the name Earthman Doublewood. According to a drunken Chinese his name signifies Man of the earth and the element of nature. The skies caught the songs and Earthman Doublewood and baggage were drawn to sunny Belgium.

2010 marks the release of Gered‘s first full length CD, Bad Blood. While the album‘s sound quickly conjures up, and clearly implicates sonic influences like Roy Orbison, Neil Young and Johnny Cash, Stowe vigorously writes and defines his very own chapter within the new Americana/Folk genre.
Produced by Mathias Widtskiöld for the Indie Label Mottowsoundz, Bad Blood is now available for purchase orders through CD Baby Distribution and its international retail network. You can purchase the album at a variety of different online retail outlets. We recommend Apple's iTunes for digital downloads and CD Baby to order a printed physical copy.
